We are still surviving another wonderful Holiday season of visiting friends and our cute little hometown light parade. Kevin & I bundled the little men up good - almost too good, and went off to find parking and a place to view the Festival of Lights parade in Auburn. We got there about an hour early and much to our surprise - many people showed up WAY before we did. We found parking - and acutally came across a decent place to view the parade from. After the sun went down and a whole lot of running around by the boys - the parade was underway. It certainly isn't the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade (at least not in my eyes) but it sure was for both of the boys.
Christopher thought everything was "cool" and "boss", and made sure to scream Merry Christmas to every lighted vehicle and horse and goat (yes goat) that went by. Tanner just stared wide eyed in amazement at all of the "floats" and made noises when his brother did. Definitely worth it for the Christopher & Tanner.
So after seeing the littlest man's reaction to the lights - we decided to pull out and put up our generic little 3' lighted tree, mostly the kids tree, as they can touch anything on it - they help decorate it, and Tanner mostly just sits there and stares at the lights - too cute. Christopher pretends he is in space and jumps off each light he touches - Tanner tries to follow suit because he starting to copy just about all that he can from his brother (oh joy!). We've yet to do any Christmas shopping and that is no surprise from us. Everything Christopher sees on a commercial he wants and Tanner points and grunts for the same thing, especially the new Hot Wheels criss-cross-crash.
We're going to go cut our house Christmas tree this Saturday with Nana & Poppa at my favorite place that I've gone to since I was a kid -Harris Tree Farm up between Apple Hill & Placerville. We will take lots of pics and post them then.
Christopher misses his Grandpa and Grandma CC and sends his love.

Another Holiday come & gone....
Well another Thanksgiving came and went without much going on.... We were invited to family functions but Tanner being sick kept us home. No reason to pass on his germs to unsuspecting family members.
The boys are both doing great and are weekends are also calming down now that soccer is over for Christopher. He was excited to finally get to play a sport and the other parents on the team voted for him and 1 other player to get a sportmanship award. So not only did he bring home his first trophy (they all get them in his age group for playing) but he also got to bring home a medal for his award.
Tanner is finally starting to say more words - but doesn't really need to do much talking as Christopher does a lot of it for him. Words like bath/ball sound alike - but he sure knows what they mean. He is also starting to say please - sounds like "peas" - but it does get him pretty much whatever his little heart desires.
Kevin & I are well and everything is pretty status quo - and that's okay with me for the Holidays. We did here from Gary & Kimberlee recently and we were excited for them as they got to hear the baby's heartbeat.
Other than that - life is good here on land - just missing those at sea......
